The presence of God is so important. We can have all the things in the world, and yet miss the presence of God. I can have the biggest ministry, the best friends ever, the best lover, the biggest house, the best family, the best career, the best of everything… and yet still miss the presence of God in my life.
Since 23dec, I kind felt dry and I couldn really feel God. 2011 didnt seem like a new year at all.. it seemed like a season of dryness and in the desert land. things happened one after another and to cope, i just to push everything within aside. its not that i didnt go to God.. its not that i didn’t spend time with God.. but somehow it was a journey He was bringing me through. The weekend at the retreat was good, coupled with service.
I made the prayer that I will seek His presence. Even as I made that prayer, everything changed cos I changed my perspective of things. It is the presence of God that matters… nothing else. Suddenly the things of the world just fades away.. and nothing can be compared to His presence.
The transitions no longer matter, ministry no longer matter, friends no longer matter.. cos all these are pale in comparison to the presence of God in my life. Seeking after the presence of God, and loving others the way Jesus loves me with no expectations. People can fault me for loving too much, but deifinitely not loving too little.
Returning back to the simplicity of having a relationship with God. As simple as that… no complications. Be still and know He is God. Be still and seek His presence.
Only His Presence Matters.
“Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” - Exodus 14:13-14
